The Robinson operation grows 2,500 acres of potatoes, forage
and barley in the eastern part of Prince County in Prince
Edward Island. Robinson's use these facilities not only as
product sources, but also to "practice what we preach" by
testing a variety of approaches to controlling soil erosion
and building better organic bases through effective crop rotation.
The farm has been recognized for its work in this area, earning
the P.E.I. Soil and Crop Improvement Association's "Conservationist
of the Year Award" as well as the "2004 Harold Leard
Environmental Stewardship Award" presented by the Bedeque
Bay Environmental Management Association.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to be a leader in the PEI potato industry, with a primary focus
on meeting the needs of the PEI potato producers whom we serve. To continue to
be successful, we must balance the needs of Island producers with those of our
customers, suppliers, truckers, employees, shareholders, environment and community.
Our company will continually seek new products, new methods, new markets and
new areas of business.

History
For over 60 years, the name Robinson has been associated with
the potato industry in Prince Edward Island, Canada. In 1942, Eric
Robinson took over the operation of his family's farm in Augustine
Cove. Today, the business he started operates four divisions and
is widely involved in Prince Edward Island's potato industry, from
new product development through to product distribution.
Eric C. Robinson Inc. is still very much a family owned and operated
agri-business. In 1962, Mr. Robinson's two sons, John and Alan,
joined him in his newly incorporated produce and pesticide dealership.
Decades later, there is still active involvement of Robinson family
members in the business. The Robinson family is dedicated to the
operation and ownership of this progressive, Island agri-business.
Today the company has approximately 30 full time and 15 part time
employees serving markets throughout North America.
